Representations for measure-valued branching processes revisited

The so-called Lookdown representation of Donnelly and Kurtz (1999) and the Poisson
representation of Kurtz and Rodrigues (2011) allow for a pathwise construction of branching
populations. In this talk, I will discuss in detail the ideas behind these representations.
